The week before Christmas was pretty crazy with work and trying to get organized for a trip back to Scotland. I knew finding time for photography would be difficult so I stopped at the beach by Chrissy Field really early one morning as I was heading into work. The sky was an incredible color so I started to look for a composition.
By the time I had got myself organized the sun had climbed above the city skyline and the color faded. I had missed my opportunity, but later on I was studying some test shots I made with the camera balanced on a fence and the sea around my ankles. This one caught my eye and seemed to work better than I remembered.
