Stinson Beach

October 15, 2017

This weekend I drove up to Mount Tamalpais but the State Park was closed, probably for the best, because of the fire risk. I continued down to Stinson Beach instead but on the way I passed a coyote. I pulled over and was surprised when instead of running away it actually approached the car. I'd guess people have been feeding it and it's learning they can be a source of an easy meal. It's a shame because that's bound to end in tragedy. In the two minutes I was parked three other cars pulled up for a look but I didn't want to be a part of crowding it, so I left them to it. I hope it gets the chance to stay wild.
